Hi can anyone help me please. My 5 year old got suspended from kindergarten for biting his aid.The aid said he was under the table and he approached the aid and bit her. I am very confused because my child has not bitten since last year. He has ABA therapist 6 days a week, 2 baby sitters, his cousins and parents and none of us experienced him biting. I know my son he would not just bite you I’m guessing she just forced him to come out that table then he got mad.

My son has developed new behavior problems on top of the usual ones we have. He just turned four and has now started being rough with others not just himself. I have him in speech, occupational and physical therapy already. Will behavioral therapy help the behaviors? Or am i just putting him in too much therapy adding that to the mix and he might not do well in the other therapies. Their own testimonials give positive reviews. I an wondering whether anyone has gone through their behavioral training for individuals and families and what your experience was like?

how long should a behaviorist spend on an FBA? The school is finally agreeing to do one, and sent a consent form. It only includes 2.5 hours of observation of my child. It just doesn't seem like enough. It also includes an hour each with teachers, parents & records.

This doesn't seam like nearly enough time. I just want to make sure if we do it, it's done right. Any advice?

My son David is a 6 years old very smart boy, he has moderate ASD, we live in Michigan and he goes to ASD class at public school, I was looking for a better school system for him and came across private autism schools in a different states because we do not have such a school in Michigan. Those schools offer small size programs with special education teacher and an ABA therapist in the class to help those kids.

I have a three year old who will be four in February. I found this wonderful site after my eight year old son was diagnosed with Asperger's. I look forward to connecting with you.
