Where To Live In Missouri?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Shawnee, OK

Hi. My husband and I are considering making a big move for our soon to be 5 year old son who is nonverbal. We live in Oklahoma now but we have heard good things about Missouri. Can anyone help suggest a good school district or town in Missouri? We also have a 3 year old son not on the spectrum and a 17 month who hasn't shown any signs of regression yet. Want to be somewhere that is good for everyone.

I highly, highly recommend Columbia, MO and Columbia public schools! They have the nationally known University of Missouri Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders Center. IT IS EXCELLENT! There are OT, PT, family practitioners, dentists, special education, radiologists, etc that have a specialty in Autism here. My son is in Columbia Public Schools in a high functioning autism class that came highly recommended to me, and now, I highly recommend this class as well! It is unbelievable. We have had nothing, but good luck here. Please feel free to contact me for even more!
