I have a 7 year old non verbal boy Cody worked all summer long and the last 2 weeks of summer he finally got it! We used a timer ever 20 minutes we bought big boy pants boxer briefs just in case we had a no2 accident. Lol bought lots of them I knew there was gonna be lots of wet pants. He learned the buzzer sound when it went off we made a big deal about potty time he got excited and if he did potty on the potty we clapped and made a huge deal about it soon he knew when he felt the erge to go he would grab my hand and pull me to the potty it wasn't an overnight thing but it worked for him good luck

I trained my son by giving him a candy everytime he uses the toilet ( when he makes no. 2), i also started to give him probiotics (therbiotic complete, super probios, culturele), he finally learn when he was almost 6 years old, some days ago he regressed but after 2 weeks we are right on track again, it is really hard work but keep trying. for us but may not work for all ,,, each time we get our child from the bath. we sit her on the toilet . even if she doesn't use it . we still make a big thing for her just sitting. it all kinda depends on your childs likes and dislikes .so maybe let them pick when to sit down on it .
