A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
San Bernardino, CA

Last night, my son while we were driving - wanted to first count by ones to 100, then 2's, then 10's, then by 100's to 1000, then by 1000's to about 45,000. What really struck me is he wanted to count by square numbers, up to 100. It took me a minute to realize what he was doing when he started with 1, 3, 9, 16, 25, 36...

He is limited verbally, but feel like I have to find something to encourage/support his absolute love of numbers! Does anyone have any experience with any programs or… read more

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Chicago, IL

I may be looking at this the wrong way, but how in the world do you save money for children and grandchildren who receive govt benefits without it effecting them? I am not interested in the govt taking my hard earned money that I saved for my autistic children or grandchildren.

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

EEK! Wondering what techniques you have used to teach your children the periodic table. My daughter also has severe memory issues so she is struggling with this. She doesn't respond too well to flash cards so far but I haven't tried them yet this year. Thanks in advance!!!

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Melbourne, AU

He’s 5 yrs old, formally diagnosed last year, talks but not clearly and has just started school. He goes to sleep well then after a few hrs he’s wide awake, just walking around and chatting in his own way. They are so tired, I’m afraid it may affect their marriage and this little boy (& his elder sister) needs both his parents together. Any suggestions please, they’ve tried many things including melatonin but it doesn’t seem to keep him asleep for any reasonable amount of time. Both parents work… read more
