How Do You Know What “level” You’re On?
Deandre was diagnosed with autism and adhd in July, but nothing was explained. The only thing we received from them was a source list of therapies that are two hours away from us. I’m new to this all and kind of lost. We have just been living life as we always have.
My son is 13 and no one in the medical field has told me his level. He is a level 3 though. This article explains a lot. https://www.verywellhealth.com/what-are-the-thr...
My son is adhd (with ODD) and autistic, I felt kind of lost too, and still do tbh. But this site definitely is a great place to start. I also have much more patience knowing his brain is wired a little different. We had his psychiatrist approve an emotional support cat, and we are on a waiting list for behavioral therapy. We’ve heard it’s very helpful. Medications are available of course! I found tho that adderall gave my kiddo anxiety and made sleeping harder (which is already a hard issue for us). So he is on guanfacine currently which I love because it works like an SSRI would for his impulse control.
Thank you! That did help! I think my son is level one. I’m asking my sister what she thinks 🤣
You're welcome 😀
