So Our Daughter Is Pacing Around Our Apartment A Lot Lately. Any Suggestions To Help This Or Do I Just Let It Go??
I love little pitter patter foot steps..:) Hard to say what is best everychild is different. Your child is young..it is good she is active. Balance is always good if in situations that it is important to be still and she learns to handle it then let her enjoy. If she is safe and can focus when needed...:) Sometimes my daughter paces around me , she is an adult and I will ask her to take a break...write in her journal or watch her dog videos...she hurts her heels with callouses so I am mindful of her taking breaks. :) if it is self regulation/stimming or a child just having fun situation then it will effect how you handle each situation. :)
My daughter is also a pacer...I got her a treadmill...kinda helps...I let a certain amount go it is her Calming strategy..I also taught her to limit more if out in public ...still does it...I don't stop it. It has to be replaced and that is her best option to relax /cope
Mines a runner she runs back and forth through the house it's cute I hear those footsteps (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) stop turn repeat we just let her run and whe get out into open area we just let her run her legs off.
