That depends on the age of your child and autism level. What age and Level (1, 2 or 3)?

Special Olympics — no need to be an athlete. Provides a safe, fun and social environment with unoffficial parent support as you meet up in person with like-minded people.

Also Improv is good at building social skills. Check out Unscripted Learning in San Diego through National Comedy Theater.

If you are in the Salt Lake Valley in Utah, there’s an incredible counseling agency called A New View Counseling and Riverton, Utah. They have something called the PEERS program and it helps teens on the spectrum, learn how to communicate, make friends, have conversations, handle, bullying, teasing, etc. It was 14 weeks and the class is also for the parents so everybody is learning. It was fantastic!
