How Do You Handle When Your Child Won’t Go Out To Eat Like For Mother’s Day Lunch, Even When You Tell Them That It’s Your Choice?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Enid, OK

My daughter doesn’t want to go out to eat Mother’s Day lunch. She’s playing with her Lego and won’t get ready for the day. She wants to get the food and bring it home to eat it.

She took her iPad and headphones. That usually works.

Maybe if she brings something with her that she can enjoy will help?

Yes, maybe she can bring a fidget spinner, toy or a few Legos. If all goes well at the Mother’s Day lunch you can reward her with a treat or sticker, etc. of her choice.
