Can A Childcare Centre Restrict You Child To Limited Hours ? They Are Claiming Due To Inclusion Support They Will Only Allow 6 Hours Per Day

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Sydney, AU

My son is autistic, non verbal. He attends a childcare who has applied for inclusion support. However they today handed me a letter to sign which outlines I cannot leave me son with their care more than 6 hours a day. If I go over the 6 hours I will be charged $35 an hour.
I'm so upset and feel so disappointed. I was planning on returning back to work however cannot due to this restriction.

Thanks for your response Gary I've spoken to them and they have agreed to extend the hours to 7.5 hours a day. I appreciate you

No. They are just being Lazy.
They make up Rules daily to avoid their agreed duties but expect full pay.
Is that in the Contract?
I'd ask where is it in the Contract, then I'd make sure the world knows about their 'Policies'.
Get ahold of a City Official and make them aware, and they will go ask questions, and if that does not settle things, Then go higher.
You have options.
Don't 'Threaten', just do it.
But after all of that, would you feel safe leaving your child in their care?
