How Do You Teach I And You Or My And Your?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Portland, OR

My daughter is still struggling to understand when to say I and when to say you, when to say my and when to say your. When she says "I want to go to my room" I don't know if she wants to go to her room or my room. Anyone have any tricks to teach this concept?

My daughter didn't understand yes or no is a choice. She thought it was a phrase yes or no and just repeated it back. Have to explain the differences.

Hey!! I’m not sure what the best way is, but my daughter has trouble with he/she, his/her constantly. We just try to be as dilligent as we can and let her know which one is appropriate for the particular circumstance. Sorry I can’t be of more help than that!
