Autism Services In The Houston Area?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Ballwin, MO

We are looking into possibly moving to the Houston area, and I am having trouble finding any info on services available through the school system there. Does anyone have any insight or first hand experience? The services available in our current school district are great, and we don't want to commit to moving without knowing we can get the same level of help.

Don't move to Houston ISD, my granddaughter attends Alief ISD, West Side of Houston, much better. Houston ISD just announced major cuts due to budget shortfalls.

Suburbs have good services. Call- the woodlands , sugarland, katy schools and check. There are special autism schools as well- they are private, you would have to google ans call around.

None in particular, just trying to feel out the area in general. Sorry to be vague.
