Hi, I'm going through the process now. I got the pscychological and psychosocial done during the same week for free by an agency in Staten island that provided services in queens. After you complete the evaluations you'll need to complete the application for OPWDD and submit them. You'll hear back regarding eligibility for OPWDD in about 60 days. After you receive eligibility from OPWDD then you can request services through the front door process and begin the Medicaid process. I'm still not complete but hopefully will be before the summer. QSAC is a great resource. I recommend you reach out to them for help if needed!

Check out OPWDD front door. Medicaid waiver has nothing to do with your income. They cover diapers, respite, any needs for your child. They help getting into community. Look into it they also cover co pays.

I live in NY also and the above all sounds so foreign! I haven't a clue about any of this.. how old are your children and what are these programs for? My son turned 3 in nov. 2016. im only familiar with E.I. Services and now with CPSE.
