Help! I Can't Get Coverage For ABA Therapy! Anyone Else Have This Issue?
Depsite all my efforts, my self-insured insurance will not cover ABA. Plans on the marketplace do not have a doctor within my area or are not affordable. (I do not qualify for a subsidy) Also marketplace plans like United Healthcare & Anthem(ones who do cover ABA) do not accept new members who already have insurance which my daughter does through my husband's employer. We exceed income limitations on Medicaid, CHIP, HIP, local grants, etc. I'm at my wits end. I do not know what to do!! Any help… read more
Yes, Katie Becket Waiver waives the income limit and is dependant on severity of the childs disability.

"Indiana currently has four waiver programs that serve children, and one additional program that is being phased out. All are 1915(c) HCBS waivers, and all waive parent income and are open to children of all incomes."

Hi, @A MyAutismTeam Member, I live in a state where a lot of medical insurance is not accepted for the ABA services, I was told to apply for some grants at special-children.org. you can also google kids special needs network & variety of children's charity.

I wish I knew the answer. We are in the same boat. Hopefully someone else will have some good advice
