ABA training can be at school and at home. How many hours? It depends on how you count the school part. My son has full day schedule at school 8:30A to 2:30P. That is very true. He is tired sometimes after school. We have in-home ABA 2hr session 4 day per week. 3 times on week day and 1 on Saturday. It works well for my 4 year old.

My son did 25-38 hrs a week and 1/2 day of school M-F. Very, very busy but was well worth it. We started at age 3 and he is 9 now and we only do 4-8 hrs a week.

2 hours a day (my son got between 4/wk with the actual BCBA, the. Switched to RBT running sessions and he got 2hrs/day 5days/wk) is the norm for kids who also go to school. 20hrs is the minimum research says makes significant improvements (but that is children who are not I. School) there is research showing there is no difference in outcomes for kids who get 25-30 and those the get 35-40+... But it really depends on quality of BCBA and the RBT....

It depends on the needs of every child. Mine is government funded for 20 hours a week but he could probably use more. They always say the more hours the better but I'd say there's an upper limit to what your child can tolerate before they're too exhausted to care at that point
