Oils
does anyone use essentials oil on their kids with ASD
I use EO's on my son. Cedarwood, vetiver, lavender and frank. All in a blend-for a base. He has adhd as well so that helps to calm him. For autism, I use different things for him based on the kind of day he is having. Brain power, clary sage, common sense are all great. I also use MindWise for him. That has been wonderful! I truly believe in the help these oils give my son, I have seen such amazing changes in him!
Just be careful if your child has sensory issues because the strong smells may bother them. I would test with small amounts to be sure you don't have an issue. If you overwhelm them you have a possibility of a tantrum.
We do, and we've noticed a huge benefit from using them. Typically my wife uses orange or lemon to help him focus (just a quick smear on the back of his neck), and thieves oil on his feet seems to help keep him cheery through a busy day with new experiences. If he has trouble sleeping (not anymore, but he had a phase for awhile), Vetiver on his temples always did the trick.
Following...been very interested but don't know where to start!
