Birthday And Christmas Gifts Ideas

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Maple Grove, MN

My son's birthday and Christmas is coming soon and my relatives are asking for ideas for gifts for him instead of gift cards. This is my odd problem, my son gets upset if we ask him to make a wish list at Amazon or ThinkGeek and says he wants nothing. In the past we asked for family memberships to the zoo, science museum, history museum, children's museum, etc. or gift cards to AMC or Barnes & Noble. Looking to brainstorm gift alternatives.

My son is only 6, but I make the list. I see what he wants, and then I pass it on. I come up with the ideas with him. Of course, he wants everything! I actually suggested to him that he ask for gift cards from friends, since he gets presents that he absolutely hates. He loved the idea of being able to pick out his own stuff! I know people would rather gets actual gifts, but if that's what makes him happy, then I think it's perfectly ok!
