Though there are many plausible reasons for this, I believe for us (for our NT son), it was tied to stress (and adrenal gland which regulates stress hormone). We had immediate success with Vitamin B5 (250mg) - gave it for two days and the teeth grinding was 90% less. This vitamin supports the adrenal glands. We give him B-vitamins regularly which includes B5 and if the teeth grinding starts again we give our son two day of higher dose Vitamin B5 (250mg) and it stops again. As a water soluble B vitamin, it is perfectly safe. It is a natural remedy that is worth a try. Good luck.

We use this brand of B-vitamins and order online. Just take once a day and easy to mix with juice.

For Vitamin B5, there are dozens of brands (we get the Life brand) and you can get these at any health store or online. Typically comes in 500mg doses but open capsule and use half (250mg).

Unfortunately, both of our sons are picky eaters and don't each much green vegetables at all (though they do eat fruits) and B-vitamins are critically important for general health.

Good luck.

Thank you, I have actually considered B vitamins. Silly question...where exactly do you get your vitamins? Health food store or online? @A MyAutismTeam Member
