My 8yo HFA has really struggled with "sense of time" and the value of numbers. He doesn't like timers and he will immediately stop enjoying his activity if I tell him he has 5 minutes left, for example. He explains the night time as "the sun not wake up". He looks at all coins as tokens, like what you use at an arcade. He's got good counting skills, and is able to do most basic math problems.
