I am a nana that has my austistic grandson about 80% of his waking hrs. Him mama is a school teacher and leaves for school 6 a.m. and gets home 4:30 p.m. His Daddy is back in school. He is a dental hygienist and will graduate as a Doctor of Dentistry in May... Thank God... But I wouldn't trade our time together for anything....

My mother helps me with my son since we live together. She is disabled as well.

My older son is almost 3 (he's the autistic one), and my younger son is 8 months.

I am raising my 5 yr old autistic granddaughter and her 4 yr old brother.
