Unbreakable Window Coverings

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need to replace laminate wood blinds with something that is unbreakable. My son likes to pull on them when having a meltdown. Any suggestions?

Due to low finances, we decided to tint plexi glass that we will slip between the two glasses. Until we can afford the blinds :).

I have this problem too. and I did consider some type of film or tinting...In his bedroom (which gets it the worse) I just bought some paper light blocking shades off amazon that you just cut to fit and stick up..they work surprisingly well, and he did try to tear two down already and all I had to do was push the tape back up and re-fold the pleats...I was shocked I went them because they are cheap enough that they could be replaced easily.
Good luck!

Tinted cling film? That's all I can think of that couldn't be destroyed or pulled down but could still reduce light and potentially still give you some privacy (depending on what kind of film you got)

I am going to get the blinds between the glass as well. Frost, paint, paper, blinds, curtains...blankets! Nothing works. Having dogs does not help either! lol
