Blue Cross Blue Shield Government Employees Insurance
Blue Cross Blue shield PPO. Is there someone with this same insurance. My husband works with the government and we have 75 combined therapies a year. Is not enough since we need speech, Occupational, and ABA therapies. Is there a way to increase the amount of approved therapies with the insurance, or maybe change to a preferred or advantage part with the same insurance. Or can I negotiate with them. I was about to post the same thing. Apply for Medicaid.
Also if you have not already apply for SSI it will help as well, typically private insurance no matter who from pays for lited services. Also check with your state about any programs they may have like DDS Department of Developmental services.
Have you applied for tefra Medicaid? It's Medicaid that is based not in income but rather the child's disability. We applied & got accepted. We have BCBS state (SC). They pay for ABA but not too much for OT & speech. The medicaid has come in handy for these therapies. Also, Medicaid pays my sons portion of BCBS premium. Because it is more cost effective for them for him to have it.
