I also let my husband show him how to pee in the toilet, and let him seeing him using the toilet. when His dad finished, he told him. look, daddy poos in the toilet, takes a piece of toilet paper and wipes, then flush, then wash hands with soap and water, and dried hands. This is the step by step process. so far, It is working at our house for two wks now. I went to his school, and ask his teacher, how does, she gets him to the bathroom. She is doing the shaking of his pants at school. This way, she knew, he wants to go to the bathroom. I notice, He is doing this at home too, and I just let him uses the toilet, when ever, He is shaking his pants. You might also want to do the sign language, hand signal for bathroom. try one or more of these methods, and see if this will work for your child. Good luck.

you could get like something special he could only hold onto if he poops on the toilet.. like my sons was the flashlight.. kids love them.. that was the only way he could hold it if he used the toilet...

my son is 4yrs old, and just start to poo in the toilet. Thanks to pbs show, Daniel goes to the potty. we watch that show for half hour, then I sat him on the toilet. with daily reminders, He is pooing in the toilet. our kids are visual learners. I also now used an illustrative guide, that shows him the process, step by step, this is also helping him. with patience and consistency, they do will get it. It takes time. my son is a visual person and loves phones and tablets so i got him the app called baby bus , its this panda take the kids can make do things like eat , shower . pee and go poopy , and the best thing is that it shows the poop ... may sound nasty , but hey it works :) . You can cut the tp , and make it flush ...my son loved it . two weeks later he was doing it !!! yay ! i was so happy :) good luck hope this helps
