Autism Apps For Kindle?
I would love to get my son an Ipad, but I can't afford it so I am thinking maybe a kindle fire? Has anyone used a kindle fire instead of an ipad, and if so, what apps did you use?
I have an android tablet and my son loves it. He's 4yrs. There are apps geared towards kids diagnosed w/ ASD and basic educational apps that he loves to play...in addition to angry birds.
i have both but i think you will be better off with kindle because its cheaper and does the same thing with ipad. i pad is faster though but easier to break. kindle has a new parental controls app that allows your kid to have a separate profile so he or she can only have limited access esp. with buying apps. that was the a major flaw for the old kindle but they fixed it with the new one. as for apps, kindle runs on android and they have alot of free apps for kids. i used tap to talk for aac, matching/sorting games, lots of tom and jerry movies for car rides too. :)
i got my son a google touch pad called a spring borad ...we love it ! androde apps . we get the free ones i love anything free :) and they are still very helpful..for learing and having fun
I have a Kindle Fire that my grandson (PDD) loves to play with. He mostly uses it for YouTube or Angry Birds...he's 11.
