Has Anyone Used Homeopathic Or Probiotics? We Saw Osteopath Who Recommended Baryta Carbonica, Allergy Testing And Probiotics Down The Line.
Yes and yes! I was working with a pediatrician with a specialty in autism who also turned homeopathic. For Probiotics, we didn't just add a probiotic we treated my son for PANDAS (https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/pa...) basically its the strep virus that tries and hides in the body. We treated it with heavy antibiotic treatments which we saw great improvement. Once the antibiotics where done, we introduced probiotics and it's been one of the most differential treatments we have ever done. There is a connection with PANDAS and kids with autism.
This pediatrician also made his own homeopathic remedies and it worked wonders BUT the effects never lasted and they were expensive. Im still a supporter of homeopathics because it's so very noninvasive.
Hello Sabrina11508.
Good question! I'm a doctor who uses homeopathy to treat kiddos with ASD's. Homeopathy is a safe, gentle and effective treatment for autism. It is highly individualized so each child may need a different remedy. Baryta carbonica is certainly a commonly prescribed remedy in children with developmental delays.
If you'd like to learn more about homeopathy for autism, feel free to check out my blog, where I've written more on the subject. http://www.aznaturalhealth.com/blog/author/drja.... I'd be happy to help answer more specific questions if you have them.
Best Wishes,

My naturopathic doctor recently put my son on probiotics and grapefruit seed oil for his intestinal issues. My son also has a bit of a yeast build up in his system. I have read a lot of good things about the supplement called SuperNuThera from Kirkman laboratories. I haven't tried it yet, but it has every vitamin and mineral that helps with digestive issues and it comes gluten, casein free.
Hi Lisa,
Who is the homeopath?
Probiotic for sure. My son had terrible reactions to every one at first. Doc put him on an anti-fungal & then reintroduced them & it helped.
I'm a little more skeptical about homeopathy. My son sees a cranial-sacral chiropractor who is really into it. I let him give my son remedies since there are no side effects, but I frankly think the chiropractic adjustment is the reason my son always walks out of there smiling. My son says the remedies work, though, so who am I to say they don't?
