Any Good Tips On Helping Little Ones With Food Aversions?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My little guy currently is fixated on Apple Jacks cereal & I'd like him to eat something nutritious. I provide the option of course, but cereal always wins. Thank you!

My son started pretty young in speech and OT therapy. He was so bad that if I even held baby food near his mouth he would vomit. He had to have a feeding tube! Now it’s 4 years later and after all that intense work by his therapist he eats a wide range of foods. I don’t know exactly what they did but it worked. Haha

I always used to take my son with me when I am cooking and used to say the names of each food or vegitable and ask him to feel texture and help me in cooking , he was 2.5 yrs at that time

Hmm good idea art, I think yogurt would be a good place to start and maybe we could graduate up from there to the really good stuff lol. Thx!
