Have you tried lavender essential oils during baths? Also lavender scented lotion is helpful. I have been using Aveeno Stress Relief body wash and body lotion with lavender.

Try to establish a solid night routine and bedtime. Once in awhile, I will give my son a small dose of melatonin, if he wakes up at a crazy early time. Best of luck to you.

We also use hydroxyzine, which helps but he still is restless while sleeping and occasionally wakes up after a few hours. Usually we can just escort him back to bed and he lays down but I'm not sure how much sleep he really gets

Don't give up on sleep. I'm pleased to say at 23 years old I finally get my son to go to bed at a decent time like 9:30 I never thought this would be possible for me. This has been going on for about 3 months I'm so happy and greaful as well. What I do is . When he ask to go shopping I tell him if he doesn't go to bed early there will be no shopping. When he doesn't listen I stick to my guns and there is no shopping. He use to stay up as late as 1AM and then I had to get up at 4AM for work. I was literally burning out. Lately I feel rested and less stressed. All the best to you.

My son rarely slept from age 1 to 3. And would only sleep when I was standing and he was on my hip bouncing. After he was old enough to take melatonin, that helped some. I still don't get as much sleep as I would like. After covid, I switched to night shift so I could sleep while my son was at school. My spouse and I also try to alternate late nights based on who's work is scheduled when. I get a lot more sleep than I did before my son was 5 but still not as much as I would like.
