Teething is the most common reason to chew you can give some tylonal or motrin if the chewing slows down you know it's teeth if that doesn't calm it down you can get toys meant for chewing

Get sensory chew necklaces. My so. Use to do the same. These helped him and he no longer a uses them or chews his shirt

My son puts just about everything in his mouth to chew on! Chewies have definitely helped us!

A lot of kids with autism chew for sensory input. They make these chewy tubes for kids to chew on. They also make chewy necklaces that are helpful. There are many available on Amazon and especialneeds.com.
