What Do You Think Of Technology?
ipad and iphone useful. But getting personal information is biggest risk and taking over websites so damaging. Any other technology you really liked?
When Jas was in school we asked for touch sensitive screens which worked out well as son couldn't use mouse
I'm team Apple. The iPad and MacBook are helpful for my kiddo. He is still getting used to his iPhone. His brother prefers iPhone and uses a desktop PC my husband bought in 2018. It has touch screen. He had to use touch screen when the mouse wasn't working. But I bought him a new one recently.
Yeah, I am from Silicon Valley and have seen the growth of technology since the 1970s and 1980s. I don't know about AI. Too much of a good thing can have the opposite effect sometimes. For example, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
My sons love YouTube and yes technology has made our lives easier. I just don't trust the use of AI, but that's just my personal opinion.
As this is still ongoing with my Lela I’d say tech has helped but it was only a bridge to get her to communicate not a replacement. My child loves tech but with her it can easily be crutch if not restricted to certain parameters. My child has a difficult time expressing herself but visual cues and tech supports including her, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad has indeed helped her. However in the long run she has to be able to confidently verbalise herself and that’s where we are now in her journey.
Matt has an Amazon Fire tablet. He is able to use a mouse on the computer and will be learning typing in September. Unfortunately the technology prevents him from seeking out social interaction. He has always preferred to play alone.
