Yes. Big challenge. Fridge and cabinet locks. Visual schedule for snack and meal times. I try to be very responsive and appreciative to verbal requests, or anytime the kids are telling me they want food because its better than stealing! Social stories about stealing, sharing food, meal times, healthy food choices, etc. Boredom is a big trigger. My kids have very little impulse control, if I get angry they just try harder 😜, so I try to do a lot to remind them about making good choices - like asking! I keep frozen sliced strawberries available and give them a few when they ask for food, since its like 30x a day I’m not a short-order cook - I need quick fixes.
