Autistic Child And Super Strength!
My daughter is 4 non verbal with complex learning difficulties and autism. Anyone have a super strong toddler or child? My little girl had blood tests yesterday and it's always a struggle. I have to restrain her so her arm doesn't move and its a real struggle. I used all my strength near enough without hurting her to keep her still. She's seriously strong for a 4 year old. Hey, I would get her a fidget toy its a toy that she can hold it would take her mind of what getting her blood drawn. And it can also keep her calm as well. I always take those toys with me when I am out with my son. š
Sedation may be helpful for her. My youngest son had to have a blood draw, but they had an extra nurse come in to hold his arm. I just had to hold him.
Yes! My daughter has always been strong. She has even pulled out her own loose tooth, several times. I'm very tall and heavy, so I've been able to sit on her if necessary. But now she's my height, so I am not sure what we will do lol. I've heard that dentists use a papoose that restrains the kid. I think my daughter was in one once. It holds them still. Not sure if doctors have similar in their offices though.
