Anyone Regret Not Having Another Child?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

We want our daughter to have a sibling bond, no cousins around us.. We switch between "it's too much" to "it will be worth it".. Anyone with multiple kids? Only one? What are your thoughts?

Sometimes I do,but overall I think my husband and I made the right decision. I think you will have to have a list of pros and cons and see which side wins.

I am the eldest of two kids. My brother is just shy of 4 years younger than me. I'm autistic with ADHD, and he's neurotypical. We've always been tight. I've always been "young" for my age, while my brother is more of an "old soul." As time has gone on, we've almost switched places as far as age goes, lol! He definitely seems like the older of the two of us, and people always think he's the older one, too. I don't mind one bit 😊

I have two sons. 20 year old neurotypical and 17 going on 18 year old with ASD.

The drawback for me, at least in my case, is that a lot of attention goes to the one on the spectrum. So the eldest had to grow up fast. Now that they are older it isn’t so bad. The younger one admires his brother
