Hi, I'm almost 18 years old and need help.

My little brother is around 8 years old, and although he has autism, he understands wiping and doesn't like his poop on his butt. In the beginning, 5-6 years old, he was wiping perfectly fine. Recently, though, for the passed 1-2 years, we moved to the south and he's had sticky poo. He loves junk food and unhealthy snacks as well, so that's probably why. But he makes my mom wipe his butt! It’s normal for regression to happen after a move. Look at it through this lens- if someone was permanently physically handicapped so that they could not go to the bathroom by themselves, should they be allowed to go to school? Of course they should. He has a disability even if physically able to. Usually aides help with this not teachers. Keep kindly encouraging him to become more independent but it might take time.
