My experience with any kind of medicine is that it works differently for everyone. One example is of alcohol. You have happy, sad, and angry drunks. The same works for any chemical substance. As a tribal native american, we treat any form of Marijuana as a medicine. We have no problem with people smoking it recreational (that's their business), but for us it's a medicine. The problem is that I don't live on my reservation right now. I live in a state that while medical marijuana is legal, it's much more diffulcult to get. Diffulcult to the point that Im not going to be able to access it unless i can find a provider and go through a whole mess of crazy stuff (i have the problem in my cities that doctors do not like to listen to the concerns of the parents if it goes against their beliefs. Illegal, yes. Still a problem, yes). However, if I had easier access to it, I would not hesitate to give the oil to my child. I would take it myself for my own health issues. Though also as a tribal native american, I am more comfortable with my knowledge of the plant (we were among the first to discover and cultivate cannabis. My tribe calls and has always called it wild parsley, albeit in our own tongue before we were familiarized with english). I see it very beneficial as a medicine but I also recognize how individuals react differently to the same chemical. Cannabis can either be a calming agent or one that causing hyperactivity (i purposely do not use the terms upper and downer because no matter how the body reacts, marijuana creates a different reaction than other prespective medications, that are also accused of being drugs, such as naturally formed LSD. Though I definitely would not recommend such prespective medications due to me not beings qualified, me not knowing enough about them and their current illegality. There simply are just some studies that are being done in terms of naturally formed LSD). As usual such a conversation is conflictive but aso a very important one to explore when it comes to a possible treatment for your loved one. Many people misunderstand the nature of cannabis. I think the most important thing to do is do as much research as possible so that you can take both others experience and factual knowledge with you when you make your final decision.

Yes exactly! I'm getting all my facts straight before our appointment with the natural health clinic psychiatrist/pediatrician. She's also the director and shes very knowledgeable in cannabis. It's her speciality. I am already a patient so I'm lucky to be as educated as I am and have access with the right people to get started.

I can't however, just place a CBD oil order with my prescription and give it to her as a) that would be illegal and b) I wouldnt have a specialist following and figuring out dosage compared to factors like weight etc.

Thanks for your input @A MyAutismTeam Member definitely helpful!
