My 2 year has mild autism yet to be assessed. We have managed to start the early intervention program at Best Start in Vic - which is a 5 half day program with 1-1 esdm program plus each week he has either speech, OT or physocology. His enrolled for 12 weeks and the program continues until school age. In the last week we have found out his been accepted into the La Trobe university program - which they follow the Esdm program plus the offer 5 days full daycare as well. The La Trobe is 3 day program for 5-6 hours per day for him but in group facility program. Both programs sound amazing My question is which one is better for my fun loving boy ? We are beside ourselves wondering is 1-1 better for 5 half days or a group program with his peers ( it’s a mixed mainstream daycare ) with Esdm consultants better with him ? Need advise on what would you do ? And what would be better for our child ? Has anyone experienced any of the programs - really look forward to your responses - we just want what’s better for our child ? Best Start Clinic or La Trobe autism Clinic ?

Thanks for all the info Hairinthewind, that helps. I am giving my 3 yr old coromega fish oil and smarty pants multivitamin, she is more active than before and babbles a lot but not many words though. It’s been 2 months I would say may I have to wait little more . Are there any exercises we can make ASD kid do ?
