Has Anyone Did Genetic Testing For Autism

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Cary, NC

We did Genetic testing from Ambry Genetics , and result came positive for Siddharth. He is identified with X link genetic disorder . We would like to know if there are any other family who have the same diagnosis for their child.

Thanks,
Anupam Dutta

Both our girls were genetically tested as well as us. The only definitive finding was that I carry the epilepsy gene but I do not present seizures. My daughter has the gene and petite mal seizures. Her child carries the gene but does not present. There were gene deletions found in both girls on #22 but there is no definitive study of how the deletions indicate Autism other then various deletions are common in diagnosed children. Sorry, I know that doesn't answer your question but genetics research is still really raw. We are here to let you know you aren't alone.
