hahah Ok well my name is samantha and I'm a freshman this year. I went to Ctds when I was in 4th through half of 7th grade. the school treats you like a baby they have "big music" where they whole school sits together in a circle and sing songs. some 10-11 year olds sit in teachers laps. the school has the absolute worst academics which is not fair to the child. me for example I was more mature than the other kids there and I left Ctds in the middle of 7th grade while I was in 5th grade math. I wanted to attend a normal school or public. it was hard for me to do that because Ctds taught me NOTHING. it is not fair to the child when they leave and become older they need an education they shout market the school as a daycare. their are kids throwing tantrums in the halls they send u to a timeout chair. there is nobody to be friends with at all I keep in contact with 1 girl who agrees with everything I'm saying. I don't know other kids but I know that this school treats you like your 2. I would go home and talk to my public school friends I was there for over 4 years and nobody I know knew that I went there it is an embarrassment. you need to think of your Childs future I'm in high school now and am in pre algebra when I should be in algebra 1. they have recess and watch tv like Shawn the sheep and I'm like what about Shawn Mendes... hahah but anyways this school is not for a kid who wants a future or friendships. they are complete retards here and don't understand. this school is not a school it is a daycare. I am a former student there and you should read what I'm saying... it is the truth!
Hi just saw your post about community therapeutic day school in Lexington. Did you end up sending your child there? Thx!
(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) (working with special needs advocate (and attorney) to get him the h*** out of LPS (Fis....) what a nightmare. bounced around to 3 classrooms whereas my son did exceedingly well in a warm and fuzzy preK in MD. He has regressed academically, socially and behaviorally.
Can we speak by phone tomorrow. I heard that they did "restraints" in the past. I'm concerned because my son is high functioning and felt that this was a school for more severe needs. We visit tomorrow am
HUGELY positive - our son goes there and it was a life / sanity saver. Wonderful staff. Just wonderful Professional people.
