Disposable Diaper (not Pull-up) Recommendation For 45lb Child?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My daughter is 4 and 45lbs and has ASD. She is not potty trained and has outgrown size 6 Luvs diapers. She can't wear Pampers or Huggies because they burn her skin. We have been ordering from Amazon, but Luvs does not make a size 7. She doesn't like pull-ups and won't cooperate with putting them on. She needs 8-10 diaper changes per day, and sometimes 1 overnight, depending how long she sleeps. Some days we still have 2-3 blowouts because she has no awareness and food just goes right… read more

We had the same issue. Through insurance, we were given a selection of diapers and inserts from the manufacturer Prevail. They worked well at absorbing, especially at night when we were prone to spilling over. Their website narrows products down, but check your insurance to see if it might be covered. As a bigger kid untrained in potty, it was viewed as a direct result of disability and therefore covered. I never paid.

Good luck.

So, if you don't like the functioning of pull ups then don't take this advise, but my son at 47 lbs is in sm goodnites.. They are made for kids to use at bedtime while sleeping, but they hold like a diaper.. cost about 24-26 for about 50. They work great all day, Now for the size 7 for a 45lbs you are looking for that act like a diaper tabs and well all I have seen is at

But honestly any overnights for kids works great, and they are not Pampers and Huggies (though they make them too) but seeing the price of the others, yeah... also the sides on the overnites tear. Like I said my son is 47lBs in the SMs .. they are like 26 dollars much better than the 70 dollars...
