Has Anyone Had Any Success With CBD Oil?

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

What strength and dosage? What brand and where do you purchase? Does it help? Is straight CBD oil best or does a small amount of THC added work better?

We just started using it after another family with an autistic child recommended that we try it. We bought the CBD at a local health food store. Noticed immediate positive changes. Calmer, more agreeable, and happier. We will continue with it and hopefully see more benefit. I will let you know how it is going.

Started my 18 year old son on CBD this December. After no behavioral issues since 4th grade in September after graduating high school he started having negative thoughts and episodes of threatening behaviors toward me. He would calm down in 20 minutes with a couple benadryl. But the next day it would happen again. At wits end I took him to the Doctor. They prescribed Depakote. It helped some but not all the way. I was so worried about side effects. I ordered CBD Plus first and have since ordered Charlotte's Web after a Doctors recommendation. From Day One he has never had another violent out burst since. CBD has been a god send. He squirts a couple sprays under his tounge morning, around 3pm and bedtime. The flavored chocolate mint from CBDplus tastes the best but he likes the CW mint too. I actually mix it with the olive oil kind since they had a sale and hes fine with it. I can not recommend CBD highly enough. I tell everyone I can how its saved him.

Considering Charlotte's Web for my 14 year old son who has Aspergers and ADHD. Why did your doctor recommend that brand? I have gotten the impression they're the gold standard for CDB. I thought dosage was done with drops. You can squirt instead? My boy is as sweet as can be most of the time, but he can be aggressive verbally and physically under certain circumstances. He does take pharmaceuticals, which I hate, but I think they keep things somewhat under control. I would prefer, as most parents would, to lower those doses or eliminate completely. Hoping the CW might take the edge off those moments of anger.

I am using the CW Hemp by the Stanley brothers. Charlottes Web from Boulder Colorado. The phone# on the bottle is (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). He takes a few squirts 3 times a day. Its the lowest strength "everyday 200" The bottle I use came from Plus CBD oil. Its not as strong but we like the squirt bottle better and it tasted good. You can find them at pluscbd.com ph(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). They both use total plant complex derived from hemp.no THC. Its legal to purchase. I will try the cannabis high CBD low THC when it comes available through medical marijuana dispensaries. I also bought some seeds called CBD therapy I am going to try and grow. To make my own. The cbd/thc levels are not consisitant from plant to plant yet. If interested look up CBD Therapy seeds.
