Any Tips For Using A Harness?
I've been trying the harness with not much luck despite being consistent. My Rosie is 2 and very hyperactive, and until we begin ABA I'm at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong. She snatches away and runs and if I don't keep up with her or go in a different direction, she takes me on a ride to Meltdown City... Any tips appreciated.
It sounds as if she is on sensory overload. I had to minimize activity and noise and increase protein and fish oil, among other things. Have you had her assessed by a SIPT-Certified OT?
You may find keeping a behavior diary will reveal the behavior triggers. There are soothing techniques, that might help, too. Does she like music? The Listening Program by Advanced Brain Technologies combined with a Sensory Certified Occupational Therapist and a sensory diet helped my family.
try a child stroller she can put items in to help you, a stroller with a babydoll or a cild size wagon. Good excuse for a new babydoll
maybe try having her push a child cart with somethings in it from the store, babydoll and stroller or a small wagon with something in it. Good excuse for a new doll

thank you @A MyAutismTeam Member I'll have to look into those things. I never thought about keeping a diary. She does like music so I'll ask her OT if she knows ABT.
