Has Anyone Tried MENDABILITY?
I found this on the net and my instinct is telling me it's very promising. I wanted to try but it seems so expensive for us. I wanted to know if there are parents here who have tried and if it really works..
I just recently asked this question! We started it a couple of weeks ago, after reading a study showing benefit to a similar regimen. We started out doing what they call "environmental enrichment": playing classical music, having our son smell different scents while we give him a gentle massage/he feels different textures, adding some textured mats for him to walk on, putting up interesting artwork, etc. We also were given a couple of starting exercises, including hand and feet massages twice a day, and having him smell an orange scent while having him look at and taste an orange.
So far, so good. Another user on this site has been doing mendability for a while, and said it has been useful for her daughter. It does make sense to me, in that if we stimulate our kids' brains to take in all kinds of stimuli, it should help them form more connections.
Good luck with your son! Let me know how it goes.
I will let you guys know how it goes!
Nathanielrobert, I would love to hear how mendabilty is going for you and if you see results. Our 5 year old has a full schedule and we are currently trying some new things. We are thinking about eventually trying it.
we hope to start soon. we are going to ask the grand parents to pay for it.
never heard of it but I'm reasearching now based on what I'm reading from all of you....thanks!
