Has Anyone Tried Detox Clay Baths?
I had a hair sample test done on my 6-year-old son which showed high levels of Aluminum and zero levels of other heavy metals. I thought no heavy metals showing up in his hair was a good thing, but the nutrition therapist said it's not so good because it means his body is not excreting these metals which traps them inside his body. She recommended a clay detox bath and I wondered if anyone has tried it. If so, was there any reaction to it (behaviors, illness, etc)?
Bentonite clay baths are awesome.
It's a living clay natural bath that acts like a magnet to pull the chemicals out of their body. The water Must be warm enough to sweat but not burn your child. So their pores open up to let go of the chemicals. If your home's water isn't filtered you can sprinkle 1/4 cup of baking soda in the bath 3-5 mins before putting the clay in to neutralize the chemicals in your water. A detox bath is not a normal bath, you fill the tub fuller so they soak in it and don't clean your child with shampoo and soap after cause they will absorb the chemicals from that into their skin. You simply rise it off. If not possible for them to just lay in the water a foot soaking works too. Keep them very hydrated afterwards. I suggest dietary changes too like organic foods/fruits, gluten free, 100% fruit juice drinks and lots of filtered water. Omega 3/ DHA, organic multivitamins, and probiotics are a great start to do detoxification the right way.
