Therapy
Has ABA or floor time therapy helped anyone? What about a social skills group? I'm in Utah and am wondering if there are any services here that anyone has found helpful. Especially if it's free or cheap :) My daughter is 4 so she's still in preschool.
ABA therapy is not cheap, you will be lucky if your school provides it. If they do they would do it in a group setting, but make sure to request that when you have your next IEP .
Thank you all!! She's in speech therapy, but as far as I have researched, no other therapies are covered under insurance or grants I've looked into. I did find a Play2Learn class that's free that we will take in April. But I would also like a social skills group and an ABA or Floor Time therapist that is good and cheap/affordable :) Know of any? Do public schools supply these services once they're school aged? Thanks for the references! I wish I had all the time and money in the world to get all the services she needs, but that's not reality right now...
I also really like the activities from "Relationship Development Intervention for Young Children": http://www.amazon.com/Relationship-Development-...
This program is an at-home ABA curriculum. I haven't ever heard any reviews on it but it looks interesting: http://www.proedinc.com/customer/ProductView.as...
For working on speech skills, I have heard really good things about Talkies from Lindamood-Bell: http://www.ganderpublishing.com/Talkies.html
