I Live in Callahan and I am raising my grandson who is autistic. It is very challenging in Florida to find pediatricians that specialize in autism or spectrum disorders. Then you have to educate yourself to do battle with the schools. It is very frustrating.

I left Florida because there is not much there in regards to services or quality medical care. I was on the west side of Florida in Cape Coral and we had to drive to St Petersburg to find a good one at children's hospital, and that was almost a 3 hr drive. The only other good care I am aware of is at the Dan Marino center in Miami.
