Has Anyone Had Luck With Medications For Someone With Mild Autism Who Has Many Adhd Characteristics?
My son has never been on any medication. I worked as a pharmacy technician and I was always afraid of the side effects to the side effects of any medications. So I started my son herbal products until I found the right one that worked. Now he takes youngevity and his symptoms are slowly fading away
My son takes guanfacine.. Hes more call and pays more attention
One of my twins is on Quillivant XR. It's an extended release liquid form of Ritalin. I really like because pills are totally out for him, he wouldn't leave a patch alone and he's so fussy about his food that the capsules you sprinkle in applesauce (or whatever) weren't a good option either. The other reason I love it is because its a liquid we could change his dose by tiny amounts until we dialed into the amount the did the most good without too many side effects.
He is able to focus a lot better in his preschool class and he's not nearly so disruptive. He responds to his name probably 50% of the time now and we have started to be able to have short conversations. Now I don't know what we would do without it.
My daughter is on adderall xr, the extended release works very well but it also increases her anxiety
Mehtylphenidate patches here for almost five years; a godsend.
