How Many Parents With Autistic Children Are Tired Of Not Knowing How Thier Child Became Autistic? Seems Like To Me Something's Strange!

I just am at a loss about how my son developed Aspergers. No one seems to know anything. Just a bunch of theories. When are we ever goning to get answers! There is absolutely no history of anyone in my family having Autism. What's the deal? I know of so many families dealing with this! And it's certainly not because I seek them out! What would happen if this many children all of a sudden developed cancer? Then there would be ears perking up a lot more! Something is going on and we have… read more

Vaccinations! They started pumping poison into our kids/babies earlier and earlier. They start the day they are born! I am not against vaccinations but I am against them being given so early and so many at given times. I am against pharmaceutical companies using Mercury (Thimerisal) as a perservative in some of the vaccinations! My son was never the same after his MMR shot at sixteen months old! This may not be the cause of all cases but it sure makes since of why autism etc. is out there in alarming numbers!

The number of autistic children has not risen but rather the definition as well as our awareness as a society has broadened to be able to recognize autism more often. Autism has always existed and will always exist. As such for some there will be a reason whereas for others there will be no reason behind autism. Autism is an unfortunate facet of life but let us all be happy that, for the majority or autism cases, it is not life-threatening.

I had it given to me at around 30-ish weeks or so a few different times one night in the hospital. Sorry to say it's been 6 years so I don't recall the exact amount given. My son was born@35weeks 6 days is nonverbal and has a primary diagnosis of classic autism.

hep B was controversial. First it was given, then they stopped, then they started again. My son had all of his vaccines when they were scheduled, however many hours old, years old, etc. For the most part it's the measels and mumps vaccine that is under suspicion for ASD. That said, my son got all of them including Hep B and progressed normally. He hit some milestones early and was always advanced in school. Until he was 12 years old. Then he regressed terribly in social behavior, maturity and went from being on the high honor roll to failing every class. There were no new vaccines or chemicals. There is no genetic or medical history of autism in our family. Of all theories, the one that makes the most sense to me is older parents, just as this can also cause other issues like Downs or Hemangioma. People are having kids later in life and childhood issues are increasing.
