Has Anyone Purchased A Weighted Blanket?

I am concerned about the noise the pellets might make when they move b/c my grandson has super hearing!

we bought ours through Sensaclam website. it doesn't make any sounds and now it is Michael's fav blanket. it is thick so it makes it a bit uncomfortable during hot summer days. Other than that, i would def recommend it. BTW, Michael also is a light sleeper but the pellet's noise doesnt't seem to bother him. Good luck

We bought our son's from Peace Weighted Blankets. It was our second one. The first was filled with grain and was a mess. http://peaceweightedblankets.com/
Our OT also said that he shouldn't be sleeping under it. Any tool like weighted blankets or pressure vests lose their effectiveness if they're used all the time. (that's from our OT and an OT I used to work with)
For weight at night we just pile on a few blankets. I bought a fuzzy queen size blanket and then fold it over. He will ask us to add more if he wants more weight. A cotton knitted 'thermal' queen size blanket folded over is his choice when the weather is hotter.

My daughter, 27 years old, has a weighted blanket. We purchased it a few years ago, and it is very calming. When she is feeling "overloaded" emotionally or has had a meltdown, she does benefit from time spent under her weighted blanket. Only wish we got one sooner.

I got mine from an ebay store named Peace weighted blankets. I got one for my 7 yo (she was 5 when we bought it so it only covers 1/2 of her now). I also got a lap one for my other daughter who is adhd. BTW she fills her blankets with aquarium rocks

So for the ones of you who bought blankets filled with pillows or made them with rice or other type fills....can those be washed? or they just have covers you can wash? Becasue the thought of my 8 yr old having a blanket that cant be washed and who sweats profusly sounds VERY unappealing!
