Delayed MMR But Now My Son Needs For School. Recently Diagnosed ASD & Afraid MMR Will Cause More Harm, Am I Paranoid? Can They Be Split?
I am so afraid to give my son the MMR ESP. all-in-one. He already has autos. & I fear this may increase his symptoms/severity. He started special ed. preschool & they won't allot him to continue w/out this vaccine. I know school is the best thing for him but I don't want to cause any more harm to my child.
You can exempt from having a vaccine. They will not let you do it for moral decisions, but if you can get a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to sign off you should be fine. But if that is not the case I am sure there are childcare programs that will support your decision.

Michelle Sarabia, can you explain why my son's autism symptoms only cropped up after his MMR and Flu shot when he was 18 months old?? It's proven that thimersol that is put in vaccines to give them longer shelf life are NOT good for anyone. As for the measels vaccination, I never had it and got the measles and lived to talk about and produce children. Just because it's on the internet doesn't make it truth.
I delayed all of my kids shots & never did any kid them all at once. Which is why he was 3 & still hadn't been vaccinated w/MMR. My ped has also been very flexible w/us in that regard. I asked for the MMR to be split up & my ped told me she doesn't get them that way & wasn't sure I'd even be able to. I suppose the pressure got to me to just give it to me bet. the school & her reassuring me that MMR does not "cause" autism. Although I know it did not play a role in my son's diagnosis, I still have that questionable doubt, the "what if" running thru my head. Maybe it wasn't the MMR specifically, but it was any number of the others - I've read the flu vaccines are loaded w/toxins but didn't know that at the time so I've had several of them for him since he was a baby. What I do know is that they can't definitively tell us what exactly DOES cause autism so I have to be skeptical about everything they claim to know. I just hope I made the right choice & didn't cause more harm to my baby's brain.
A summary of studies showing vaccines do NOT cause autism. Autism symptoms are noticed at about the same time because vaccines make most kids cranky, and a cranky autistic, well... is much more obvious than one that is not cranky.
