How Can Stimming Be Reduced? My 4 Yr Son Started Stimmming On Threads, Toys And Now He Puts It In His Mouth Too.
I looked at all of it. I found it sweet and inspiring. However, I stim myself. I know ammounts of stimming are just a part of who I am and who my son is, I am accepting of that. I still keep him on Boyulardi and probiotics to keep it at a minimum for him. I know what it is like to be make fun of. I guess as parents we all just do the best we can. No one is wrong, no one is right. All of our children are special and wonderful. Good luck with this, I hope you find the answers you are looking for : )
Yes. I think following healthy diets is very useful. Often, we can see which foods are good for us by noticing our behaviors and emotions (as well as physical well-being) after eating.
We also eat as healthfully as possible AND notice the effects of behaviors on others.
Here are a few non-conventional views of stimming.

I've read some excellent posts in recent months by autistic adults talking about stimming. Really changed my views on it. I'll try to find a few of the links.
We found that Trent stopped stimming after we worked on candida. We put him on Boulardii and probiotics with a low sugar diet. It took about four weeks and we started seeing noticable improvement. We keep him on it. Hope this helps.
