We Call It Nesting.

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 3 year old autistic daughter loooves to take things she currently really likes, and places them all around her forming a circle. It makes her happy, she gets the happy flappys when she does it. We call it her making a nest. But I’m curious of. What it means? Like if anyone out there knows specifically what it’s doing for her or why she’s doing it.

Does anyone have any tips on getting a kid out of the pool and ending the activity of swimming after a couple or three hours without getting a big meltdown reaction?
