For those with low to medium functioning AND non verbal....how often have you noticed your kid having congested sniffles or a congested cough?
Have they had it much or even at all in your memory?

Also, can you yawn when they are watching you and they yawn back?
I’m serious about the yawning test! Can you make them yawn just by faking a yawn?

What are some of the first steps to take once you've gotten a confirmation that your child has autism? What kind of help can I get for him, And how can I better myself in helping him.

My son was diagnosed as Autistic less than a month ago. Since then I have been trying to read every book I can find and roaming the internet for help and answers. I recently came across a book in which the author indicated that autism can be cured with the proper treatment. Is this true? I am so confused as the books I read seem to contradict each other and no one seems to have a definitive answer. The author who indicated that it can be cured talked about changes in diet as a solution.
